Captain Jeff Russo has been fishing the waters around Long Beach Island for 30+ years.

Captain Russo grew up boating and fishing on Long Beach Island with his father. They targeted fluke all over southern Long Beach Island from the early 80’s until his father passed a few years ago. Because of his love for fishing and being outdoors, Captain Russo began fly fishing 20 years ago and has fished for trout, salmon and striped bass throughout the United States. Captain Russo has a USCG 6 pack Captain’s License. Captain Russo spent a lifetime in public service and looks forward to teaching his clients about Long Beach Island and the waters around it.

About the boat:

The Moby Nick is a 21’ Ultra Elite center console by Carolina Skiff. It has an 8’ beam and powered by a Yamaha 150. It can cruise comfortably at 30 mph. We exclusively use Garmin electronics, PENN reels, Dark Matter, St. Croix and Orvis rods. The boat is outfitted with all of the necessary safety equipment, including VHF radio, satellite communication and a personal locator beacon.
